I wish I could fly in from Tokyo! I attended Blair as an exchange student from Japan. I got to visit Silver Spring in 2017 to see my host sister Cathy Penniman Hellerman and her family and had a great time. I have lots of fond memories at Blair, being a choir member under Mrs. Huntley, part of the prop team for Li'l Abner, learning French in Mr Bernard's class, and so on. After getting a Ph.D. from U. of Chicago, I have taught English and linguistics at Keio University in Tokyo for 36 years now. My career in the academics was made possible by the experiences as an exchange student, so I am forever grateful to everyone who helped me get along at Blair.
